In short, we celebrate the “Importance of Science in our lives” Eminent scientists, as well as budding scientists, are felicitated on this occasion. in our schools, colleges and institutions of research. We celebrate the day by holding science seminars, exhibitions, lectures, science film screenings etc.
He was granted a Nobel Prize in the year 1930 for the famed ‘Raman Effect’ which revolutionized Optics. Raman, announced his discovery related to “the phenomenon of the scattering of light, as it passes through material molecules”. India observes February 28 as National Science Day.
